Проаналізовано на основі фундаментальних, переважно архівних, матеріалів проблему трансформації політичних, професійних, моральних і побутових поглядів учительства України під час Української революції 1917–1921 рр. Основну увагу приділено взаєминам учительства й різних влад у період Української революції, громадянської війни та інтервенції в 1917–1921 рр. в Україні. При цьому акцентовано на політичних, економічних, соціальних, моральних та побутових взаєминах учительства та радянської влади, оскільки саме остання остаточно закріпилася в Україні.
